This criminal appeal by the convicted accused appellant under the POCSO Act against the judgment dated 30.06.2020 passed by the learned Special Judge, Jorhat was admitted on 02.03.2021.

2. It is seen that the paper book have already been prepared and the copies of it have been served upon the counsels for the parties.

3. It is also seen that the informant/respondent No. 2 have already received the notice of this appeal on 30.09.2021, but has not entered appearance in the matter.

4. In view of the above, Shri Debarshi Kumar Bhattacharyya, learned Amicus Curiae as notified vide Notification No. 80 dated 03.12.2024 of this High Court be appointed as Amicus Curiae for the respondent No. 2/informant of the case.

5. Registry shall reflect the name of Shri Debarshi Kumar Bhattacharyya, learned Amicus Curiae for the informant/respondent No. 2 in the cause list against this item.

6. Registry shall also furnish a copy of the paper book of this criminal appeal to Shri Debarshi Kumar Bhattacharyya, learned Amicus Curiae for the informant/respondent No. 2, obtaining necessary acknowledgment from him in that regard.

7. Shri Debarshi Kumar Bhattacharyya, learned Amicus Curiae is allowed to inspect the relevant records of Special Case No. 61/2018 in presence of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam.

8. List this matter for hearing on 31.07.2025.
