The Central Government of India has assented for the appointment of Smt. Justice Revati Prashant Mohite Dere, Judge of Bombay High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.

The notification issued by the Law Ministry has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Smt. Justice Revati Prashant Mohite Dere, Judge of the Bombay High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court with effect from the date she assumes charge of her office consequent upon transfer of incumbent Chief Justice.”
