Eye Witness against Salman petitioned Home Minister for Witness Protection.

Key witness in the poaching cases against Salman Khan, Harish Dulani sought police protection on Friday, telling about threat to his life from unknown people.

Harish Dulani, who was said to be 'missing', came up two days after the Rajasthan High Court acquitted Khan in 2 poaching cases on Monday.

Dulani said that threats to his life led him to miss the court hearings when the trial was going on in a lower court in 2006.

Dulani faxed application to home minister Gulab Chand Kataria for police protection to home minister Gulab Chand Kataria through his advocate Anil Gaur on Friday.

In the application, Dulani said that after his examination was done in the court, his father started receiving threats in 1998.

"Thereafter, I left Jodhpur without informing anybody. Now, as the verdict of the high court has come, I've been continuously receiving threats from unknown persons, who have been keeping a watch on me & my family," the application reads.

He has written that he has been ruined financially & has been supporting his family by doing petty jobs at different places since he has lost all the opportunities of a permanent job.

Gaur, said that Dulani engaged him as his advocate after the judgments by the trial courts were pronounced in 2006 & that Dulani was given notice for giving false evidence in the court on April 18, 2006.
