Bihar resident sues Salman Khan for Rs. 20 Crore, claims ‘Sultan’ based on his life


Complainant alleged that Salman has cheated him as he was promised to be paid Rs.20 Crore.

A Criminal Complaint case of alleged cheating has been filed against Salman Khan, actor Anushka Sharma, ‘Sultan’ director Ali Zafar Abbas and others. It was heard in a local court at Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

Mohammad Sabir Ansari alias Sabir Baba, of Muzaffarpur, filed complaint before Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court here on July 8, claiming that Salman Khan, lead Hero of film ‘Sultan’ released last week, had promised him a royalty Rs. 20 crore as film is based on his life.

Sudhir Kumar Ojha counsel  for the complainant said that in 2010 Sabir had narrated his life tale to Salman Khan in Mumbai and was then promised the money as and when a film was made on his story.

Case had initially come up for hearing before Ram Chandra Prasad, the CJM ofMuzaffarpur,  but it was transferred to the court of JMFC, S K Tripathi.  It will now come up for hearing on July 26, 2016.

The complaint is under Section 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 504 (insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
