AUGUSTINE GEORGE MASIH, J. (ORAL)

On the last date of hearing i.e. 03.09.2021, when the case was

taken up for hearing, following order was passed:-

"Case has been heard through Video Conferencing in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

CRM-5287-2021 Mr. Nalwa contends that the petitioners have sought transfer of the petition from the court of Presiding Officer, Special Court, Jalandhar to some other court of competent jurisdiction. According to him, the Judge, who passed the judgment of conviction, has now retired. In view of the same, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

Mr. Grewal, learned State counsel is ad idem at this issue.

Notice of the application to learned counsel for the non-applicant/petitioners for 14.10.2021."

With the consent of counsel for the parties, the petition is

preponed to today for consideration.

CRM Nos.5286 and 5287 of 2021 in/and -2- CRM-M No.51923 of 2018

Counsel for the petitioners acknowledges the fact that the

Presiding Officer has changed.

In the light of the above, the present petition would not survive

as the reason for which the present petition was preferred does not really

hold the field.

The present petition, therefore, stands disposed of as having

been rendered infructuous.

In the light of the disposal of the petition, CRM Nos.5286 and

5287 of 2021 also stand disposed of as infructuous.

                                        (AUGUSTINE GEORGE MASIH)
