The Court :- On behalf of the plaintiff attention of this Court is drawn to

a judgment reported in (2020) 6 SCC 557 (Nusli Neville Wadia -Versus- Ivory

Properties & Others) and that reported in (2022) 7 SCC 644 (Sathyanath & Anr.

-Versus- Saroja Mani) to persuade this Court that the issue as to the jurisdiction

raised by the defendants being a pure question of law should be decided as a

preliminary issue without requiring detailed evidence to be adduced.

Learned Advocate for the defendants seek an adjournment to consider

the proposition relied upon by the plaintiff.
