G.S.R. 750(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 21, read with section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (i) These rules may be called the Coinage of One Hundred Rupees and Ten Rupees coined on the occasion of "Ter-Centenary of Gur-Ta-Gaddi of Shri Guru Granth Sahib" Rules 2008.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
- Standard weight and remedy allowed.- Standard Weight and Remedy allowed on coins of Rs. 100 and Rs. 10 denominations, coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Act, to commemorate the occasion of "Ter-Centenary of Gur-Ta-Gaddi of Shri Guru Granth Sahib" and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the table below:
