CAM advises CHG-MERIDIAN AG on acquisition of OPC Asset Solutions

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised CHG-MERIDIAN AG on the acquisition of OPC Asset Solutions Private Limited (OPC Asset Solutions), by way of share purchase from the shareholders of OPC Asset Solutions.

The General Corporate Practice of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised CHG-MERIDIAN AG on the transaction and assisted with structuring, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing the transaction documents. The transaction team was led by Akila Agrawal, Partner and Head – M&A; Navin Kumar, Partner; with support from Gurkaran Arora, Senior Associate; Ashlesha Mittal, Associate; and Abhishek Ganguly, Associate.

OPC Asset Solutions is engaged in the business of asset lifecycle management. The Transaction is part of CHG-MERIDIAN AG Group’s strategy focusing on ‘usage over ownership’ as a business model, rooted in the sustainable principles of a circular economy. With this acquisition, CHG-MERIDIAN AG intends to service a large number of Indian clients.

Other Advisors to the transaction included KPMG (acted as tax advisor for CHG-MERIDIAN AG) and S&R Associates (acted as the legal advisor to the selling shareholders).

The transaction was signed on October 19, 2022; and closed on October 20, 2022.
