On Friday, the Punjab Police booked a Delhi BJP leader for allegedly sharing a “doctored video clip” of AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on his Twitter handle. The case against BJP’s Delhi unit spokesperson Naveen Kumar Jindal was registered at Phase-11 police station on the complaint of Punjab and Haryana HC Advocate Gurbhej Singh.

This is the 2nd case registered by the Punjab Police against a Delhi BJP leader after the AAP came to power in the state. A few days ago, the Punjab Police had booked BJP’s Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, who had been attacking Kejriwal over his remarks on the movie, ‘The Kashmir Files’.

Meanwhile, Jindal accused Delhi CM of misusing the Punjab Police & tweeted: “Thug Arvind Kejriwal has no more work left. What did Punjab get? AAP is misusing Punjab Police. Registration of FIR’s will not deter us from exposing your face like this every day & will continue to do so.”

Bagga, too, slammed the Punjab Police, stating Jindal is the same person who had exposed Kejriwal’s Rs 11-crore swimming pool plan. Bagga also alleged that police reached Jindal’s home to arrest him without informing the local police.

In the video clip, posted on April 6, Kejriwal is purportedly heard saying: “Earlier money would reach the chief minister... the entire system was created to facilitate the lower levels to take money... Money was collected from all departments, police & revenue department officials & sent to the top. Now, our Bhagwant Mann takes money, I take money, & even our MLAs & members take money. There was a meeting of revenue department officials in Punjab. They said — take money at lower levels or send it to the top.”
