On Tuesday A Delhi court took note of police chargesheet & issued summons as an accused to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, deputy CM Manish Sisodia & 11 other MLAs, in connection with alleged assault on chief secretary Anshu Prakash.
All of them have to appear before the Court on 25th October.
The police had named them as accused in its chargesheet filed on 13th August.
In its summoning order the Court found sufficient grounds to establish the alleged charges against Arvind Kejriwal & other accused.
As regards an application by Prakash seeking a special public prosecutor for the case, the court said it'll decide the matter on 10th October. Prakash has sought an independent public prosecutors arguing prosecutors in Delhi report to Delhi govt. & this would affect the case.
However the Court dropped Section 504 IPC that relates to intentionally insulting someone for breach of peace.
Public Prosecutor for state had earlier argued that Section for Abetment may also be included by the Court.
Others who were named as accused in the chargesheet were 11 AAP MLAs - Amanatullah Khan, Prakash Jarwal, Nitin Tyagi, Rituraj Govind, Sanjeev Jha, Ajay Dutt, Rajesh Rishi, Rajesh Gupta, Madan Lal, Parveen Kumar & Dinesh Mohania.
