Learned counsel for the petitioner has relied upon a recent
judgment passed by Gauhati High Court in the case of HC/GD
Sukram Basumatary Versus The Union of India and others
reported in 2021 (4) SLR 377. He submits that penalty of
stoppage of three increments for 3 years with cumulative effect is
not envisaged and contemplated under the CRPF Act, 1949 and
rules framed therein.
Per contra, learned counsel for the respondent Mr. Ashish
Kumar submits that the said judgment is not applicable. He wants
time to study the said judgment.
The same is granted.
