Sri B.B. Upadhyay, learned State counsel is present, who has been heard.

The present appeal has been filed by the appellant Bajrang Lal against the judgment and order dated 08.09.1987 passed by Special Judge (Essential Commodities Act), Kanpur Nagar in Case No. 51 of 1985, Police Station Harbans Mohallah, District Kanpur.

As per office report dated 15.11.2022 a report from C.J.M. concerned was called for regarding living status of the appellant in present appeal. In compliance of the said order, C.J.M. concerned vide letter dated 27.09.2022 informed that the appellant-Bajrang Lal has died on 04.02.2015. In support of which a report of concerned police station and the copy of medical certificate of cause of death issued by L.L.R. Hospital, Kanpur and the copy of the statements of the other witnesses have also been annexed thereto.

Accordingly, the appeal stands abated.

Office is directed to communicate this order to the District and Sessions Judge concerned within two weeks from today.
