- G.S.R. 530, dated 18th March, 1977.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 455 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958), the Central Government hereby directs that the provisions of clause (b) of sub-section (3) of Section 76 of the said Act shall not apple to the launches of the Department of Lighthouses and Lightships mentioned in the Schedule hereto annexed belonging to the Government for the purposes of tending lighthouses only.
