Published vide Notification Gazette of India 1930 Part I.P. 1354. Deemed to be in force by virtue of Section 258 read with Section 461(3) of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958). Reproduced here as amended from time to time.

1.No. 56-M.I.(4)/30, dated 20th December, 1930. – In pursuance of Section 178 of the Indian Merchant Shipping Act, 1923 (21 of 1923), and in supersession of all previous orders on the subject, the Governor-General in Council is pleased to [appoint] for the purpose of the said section, the officers specified in the second column of annexed Schedule at the ports specified in the corresponding entry in the first column thereof:-
