Authorisation of Certain Officers To Exercise The Powers Conferred By Section 248(2) At Certain Specified Ports

Published vide Notification Gazette of India 19630 Part 1,Page 959. Deemed to be in force by virtue of section 248(2) read with section 461(3) of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958). Reproduced here as amended from time to time.

  1. No. 56-M.I. (3)/30, dated 30th August, 1930. - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 167 of the Indian Merchant Shipping Act, 1923 (21 of 1923) and in supersession of all previous orders on the subject, the Governor-General in Council is pleased to[authorise], the officers specified in the second column of the annexed Schedule at the ports specified in the corresponding entry in the first column thereof:-

[S.O. 1525, dated the 30th April, 1965. ] - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 248 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958), read with the order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Transport and Communications 2No. S.O. 3144, dated the 17th December, 1960, the Director-General of Shipping, hereby authorises the Surveyor-in-Charge, Mercantile Marine Department, Bedi Bunder, Jamnagar, to exercise the powers conferred by the said section at the port of Bedi Bunder, Jamnagar.
