The Ministry of Women and Child Development spearheads India’s legislative framework for gender justice and child protection, where law interns analyze and draft compliance mechanisms for landmark statutes such as the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, the POCSO Act, 2012, and the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, while researching constitutional equality principles (Articles 14–15) and contributing to litigation strategies protecting vulnerable populations through inter-agency policy coordination.
Women scholars, students, social activists, and teachers from non-tier-I cities and rural parts of India are eligible for the program. The applicants must be enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution.
