BCI sets up four 'Video Conferencing/Virtual Hearing' rooms to aid SC and Delhi HC Lawyers 'free of cost' [Read Notice]

In a major move to aid Lawyers facing tech issues during hearings in Lockdown period, the Bar Council of India has set up four Video Conferencing/Virtual Hearing rooms for Advocates of Supreme Court and Delhi High Court.

The facility shall begin from 26th May and Advocates will be charged 'nothing' for it. It shall be a free of cost service.

The Advocates are required to register 36 hours prior to the hearing at bcividconf@gmail.com. Registery shall be done on 'First Come First Serve Basis'.

Tech Savy staff shall be there at Advocate's aid. Maximum four people/ Advocate shall be allowed in BCI premises and ideally two for one case.

Social distancing norms shall be strictly followed.

It has also been announced that e-filing facility shall be allowed for needy Advocates/A.O.R. after a week.
