June 28, 2019:

A New Jersey woman allegedly killed her toddler son because he was getting in the way of her extramarital affair, it was revealed in a detention hearing on Wednesday.

Heather Reynolds, of Gloucester Township in Camden County, is charged with murder & child endangerment for the 2018 death of her 17-month-old son, Axel.

She allegedly suffocated the boy by holding a cleansing wipe over his nose & mouth in her home. She then ran from the house & screamed for help from neighbors.

The alleged motive came to light by prosecutors at a detention hearing Wednesday. Reynolds, 41, was ordered held in jail until her trial. She faces a possible life sentence.

Her lawyer has argued she had nothing to do with the death of her son.
