Chhaya Sharma, the Former DCP (South), who led the special investigation team that cracked the 2012 Nirbhaya case, received the prestigious Courage and Leadership award by McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University.
Sharma, now DIG with the National Human Rights Commission, led high-profile operations for Delhi Police, rescuing minors from commercial sexual exploitation for which she had received commendation from Delhi high court in 2001.
