The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case on complaint against an Under Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Government of India), New Delhi. It was alleged that son(who stays in USA) of Complainant's friend had applied for Statement of Need in Ministry of Health, and for giving the original (hard) copy of the same, the said Under Secretary, M/o Health has demanded a bribe of Rs. 1.5 Lakh. The Complainant has enclosed the printout of the said certificate which was sent by said Under Secretary to his friend through e-mail.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs 1.5 Lakh from the Complainant (Pairokar of his friend ).
Searches were conducted at the premises of accused.
Investigation is continuing.
