AWARD OF LOK ADALAT Date: 09.09.2023 The matter is placed before the Lok Adalat today. The MACT, Udaipur by its judgment and award dated 03.04.2008 in MAC Case No. 27312006 awarded a sum of Rs.25,000/-.

With the active efforts of Counsel representing the parties and the authorities of the Insurance Company, the controversy involved in this appeal has been settled by mutual compromise in the spirit of Lok Adalat. We appreciate the efforts of all concerned in settling the matter in pre-counselling. The memo of understanding shall constitute a part of the award.

With the consent of the parties, the impugned award dated 03.04.2008 is fiu-ther enhanced by Rs.70,0001- in favour of the claimant(s)/appellant(s) as a full and final settlement of the case. The amount so agreed shall be deposited by the respondent Insurance Company with the Tribunal within a period of two months fiom today failing which, the same shall carry interest @ 6% per m u m fiom the date of this order till actual realization. The enhanced amount of compensation be disbursed in terms of the award in the saving bank account of the claimant(s). The award impugned dated 03.04.2008 passed by MACT Udaipur in Claim Case No. 27312006 is modified accordingly.

In view of the above, the appeal is disposed of. The Registry is directed to send back the record forthwith, if any.
