Order

12/12/2023 The criminal writ petition has been preferred by the

petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking

direction for being provided with adequate security and protection.

The petitioner claims to have threaten at the hands of Daya

Ram S/o Manji Ram and Narsi Ram, having mobile no.

9833387974 and unknown person having mobile no. 7610990797

at the behest of demanding money for some agreements/contract

[2023:RJ-JD:43360] (2 of 2) [CRLW-2069/2023]

which took place between them past three years ago. The

petitioner feels threat to his life at the hands of private

respondents, who are threatening him. The petitioners allegedly

approached the SHO Police Station Sanchore, for taking

cognizance against the action of the private respondents.

The aforesaid complaint to the SHO Police Station, Sanchore

has been filed on record. Thus, taking cue from the judgment

rendered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Lata Singh

Vs. State of U.P. Reported in AIR 2006 SC 2522, the prayer made

by the petitioners for directing the S.P., Sanchore to provide

protection to the petitioners deserves to be accepted.

The concerned Police Authority shall have the matter

enquired into and if so required, appropriate protection shall be

provided to the petitioner as and when warranted. The S.P.

Sanchore shall ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner, at

the hands of the private respondents.

The criminal writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
