Learned counsel for appellant informs that in other appeals

involving the same issue regarding award of interest on decretal

amount, the judgment has been passed on 03.06.2005 in S.B.

Civil Misc. Appeal No.457/1995 titled M/s Steel Authority of India

Ltd. vs. Union of India through General Manager after hearing

counsel for both parties on merits and thereby 6% per annum

interest has been held to be payable on decretal amount from the

date of filing of claim petitions. Similar judgment has also been

passed in other appeals.

Let this first appeal be listed on 26.07.2022 as to why

present appeal may not be disposed of following the judgment

dated 03.06.2005 passed in identical nature of appeal.
