Order

19/07/2021 The writ petition No.16344/2018 has been filed including the

challenge to the notification dated 22-12-2015 whereby

(2 of 2) [CW-16344/2018]

interchangeability of reservation of widow and divorcee category

has been provided.

Vide interim order dated 30-7-2018, this court restrained

appointments by interchanging from widow to divorcee category

and vice versa.

In the course of hearing of the matter, this court vide order

dated 9-1-2020 referred the issue of interchangeability of

reservation of widow and divorcee category to the Larger Bench.

Accordingly, the Larger Bench was constituted and vide

judgment dated 4-8-2020 in DB Civil Reference No.6/2020, has

resolved the issue of interchangeability of reservation of widow

and divorcee, which is no more res integra.

Therefore, the interim order dated 30-7-2018 (in DB Civil

Writ Petition No.16344/2018) restraining appointments by

interchanging from widow to divorcee and vice versa is vacated

and the appointments may be considered in terms of the order

dated 4-8-2020 of the Larger Bench in DB Civil Reference

No.6/2020 (supra).

List these matters on September 1, 2021 for final disposal on

other issues.
