I.A. No.16972/2022 seeking condonation of delay of 76 days is taken up. Learned counsel for the appellant urged that appellant is in jail from the date of judgment and there is no male member in the family to take care of him.

The delay occurred because efforts were made to file present appeal by his wife.

We are satisfied with the cause shown.

Accordingly, said I.A. is allowed and delay is condoned. The appeal is admitted for final hearing.

State counsel is directed to file response to pending I.A. and serve the victim before the next date of hearing.
