THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR FINAL
HEARING ON 01.07.2024, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED
THE FOLLOWING:
                                      2
W.P.(C)No.3134 of 2018

                              JUDGMENT

The above writ petition is preferred by a candidate, who

unsuccessfully attempted to clear NEET PG examination held in the year

2017. It is his claim that he is entitled to get reservation under the OBC

category. However, while attempting NEET PG examination in the year

2018, his category was mentioned as General though he belongs to OBC

category. In the examination conducted in the year 2018, he secured

314th rank out of 1200 and stated that the cut off mark for the OBC

category was fixed as 281, thereby he is entitled to get admission.

However, owing to the mistaken prescription of his category, he will not

be able to secure admission for the PG course. On these assertions, this

writ petition was filed.

2. When the matter was taken up on 30.01.2018, this Court

granted an interim order for provisionally treating the petitioner as a

candidate under OBC category.

3. In the light of the above interim order, it appears that the

grievance of the petitioner would have been redressed.

4. When the matter taken up today, there was no

representation for the petitioner as well as the respondent.

In that view of the matter, this writ petition is closed as nothing

further survives in the matter.
