          CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE
                                      ORDER

13.10.2025

WP(C) No. 3258/2023

Learned counsel for the petitioner is not prepared today and

accordingly, seeks adjournment.

In the interest of justice, adjourned.

Keeping in view the urgency expressed by learned counsel for the

respondents, list this matter on 04.11.2025.

It is, however, made clear that no further adjournment shall be granted

on any count whatsoever on the next date of hearing.

The instant contempt petition arises out of an order/judgment dated

29.12.2023 passed by this Court, by virtue of which the following order came to

be passed:-

"In the meanwhile, subject to objections from the other side till next date of hearing before the Bench, the petitioner shall not dispossessed from the land measuring 7 marlas, comprising survey No. 166, situated at Bandral Khurd, Tehsil Choki Chowra, Jammu except in accordance with law."

Learned counsel for the petitioner could not point out how and under

what circumstances the said order has been violated, so as to invoke the powers

of this Court under the Contempt of Court Act, as the petitioner till date has not

been dispossessed from the said land. Thus, there appears to be no violation of

the order passed by this Court. Accordingly, no contempt is made out.

Proceedings in the instant contempt petition are, therefore, closed. Rule, if any,

shall stand discharged.

(WASIM SADIQ NARGAL) JUDGE
