Judgment dated 23.04.2019 passed by this Court as also the order passed by this Court on 01.12.2023 are yet to be complied with by the respondents. Neither the Chief Engineer, PHE Jammu is present in the Court, nor has he filed the fresh compliance report in terms of order dated 01.12.2023.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that an application for exemption of the Chief Engineering PHE Jammu has been filed on the ground that he had to go out of Union Territory in connection with official work and would not be in a position to attend the Court today. Be that as it may, let this case come up for consideration on 09.02.2024. The Chief Engineer PHE Jammu shall remain present in the Court on the next date of hearing. However, in case the judgment aforesaid is complied with as directed by this Court vide order dated 01.12.2023, he need not appear.
