This is an application on behalf of the appellant/applicant seeking release of the statutory amount to the tune of Rs. 25,000/- along with interest accrued thereon deposited before the Registry of this Court. It is stated that the appeal filed by the appellant/applicant has been dismissed vide judgment dated 02.12.2016 and consequent to the dismissal of the said appeal, the appellant has satisfied the award, however, the claimants/respondent No. 1 to 4 filed an execution application before the learned Tribunal for payment of statutory amount payable to them.

The application, for the aforementioned reasons, is allowed. Registry is directed to remit the statutory deposit of Rs. 25,000/- along with interest in favour of the MACT, Anantnag for its release in favour of the respondent No. 1 to 4.

Application disposed of.
