                                   ORDER

01. Proceedings in this contempt petition have been initiated by the

petitioner for non-compliance of judgment and order dated 2012.2017

passed in SWP No. 1615/2017 titled 'Rameshwar Kumar vs. State of J&K

and anr.' which was disposed of with the following directions:-

"In view of the matter the writ petition is disposed of, directing the competent authority to consider the instant writ petition and the representation of the petitioner and take a decision on same on its own merit as per rules and regulations applicable, expeditiously preferably within a period of eight to twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order along with the copy of the writ petition its annexure and representation".

02. The respondents in their compliance report submitted that in

compliance to the order of this Court they have considered the case of the

petitioner and passed a speaking order dated 29.10.2019 whereby it has

been held that no benefits could be accorded to the petitioner and have

rejected the case of the petitioner.

03. In view of the aforesaid, order of this Court stands complied

with. Proceedings in this contempt petition are, accordingly, closed.

04. The petitioner is, however, at liberty to assail the said order, if

cause survives.
