                                  ORDER

01. Proceedings in this contempt petition have been initiated by the

petitioners for non-compliance of judgment and order dated 22.05.2018

passed in SWP No. 967/2018 titled „Ranjeet Kumar and Anr. Vs. State of

J&K and ors.‟ which was disposed of with the following directions:-

"....Accordingly, this petition at request is disposed of with a direction to respondents to accord consideration to the representation stated to have been filed by the petitioners with regard to their selection and engagement as Special Police Officer (SPOs) against the vacant posts, of course, under rules occupying the field. Let consideration be accorded within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. Result of consideration shall be conveyed to the petitioners. Disposed of as above along with connected MP(s)."

02. In their compliance report respondents submit that they have

complied the judgment and order of this Court and the claim of the

petitioners has been duly considered vide order No. 1183 of 2019 dated

19.03.2019. The same was, however, found to be devoid of merits and

rejected.

03. In view of the aforesaid, order of this Court stands complied,

proceedings in this contempt petition are, accordingly, closed.

04. The petitioners, however, are at liberty to assail the said order,

if cause survives.
