Heard Mr. S.P. Sharma, learned counsel for the appellant.

This appeal under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 is directed against the judgment and award dated 20.06.2024 passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) No.2, Kamrup(M), Guwahati, in MAC Case No.1714/2018. It is to be noted here that vide impugned judgment and award dated 20.06.2024, the learned Tribunal has directed the appellant herein to pay a sum of Rs.12,31,446.16, being the compensation to the respondent Nos.1--4.

Perused the memo of appeal and the grounds mentioned therein and also perused the impugned judgment and award dated 20.06.2024.
