By this appeal under Section 27 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 read with Section 374 CrPC, the appellant has challenged the judgment and Page No.# 2/2

order of conviction dated 05.09.2023 passed by the learned Special Judge, Assam, Guwahati in Special Case No. 23/2018, by which the appellant was convicted under Section 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and he was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/- with default stipulation.

The appeal is admitted for hearing.
