The parties are living separately for almost 24 years. The child has now become major. The appellant is receiving monthly maintenance @ Rs.20,000/- per month.
Considering the length of time that the parties are living separately the wife is not averse to the idea of settlement provided the respondent takes due care of the wife and her child, in other words, a reasonable amount towards maintenance of the respondent. The respondent was also not represented on the earlier occasion. The respondent has also not filed any affidavit of assets and liabilities, as directed earlier.
Both parties are directed to file an affidavit of disclosure of assets and liabilities in the form as mentioned in Enclosure-I of the judgment of the Hon'bel Supreme Court in Rajnesh Vs. Neha reported at (2021)2 SCC 324 on or before two weeks from date.
Let this matter stand adjourned for three weeks.
