1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel and Sri S.B. Pandey, learned Senior Advocate and Deputy Solicitor General of India assisted by Sri Varun Pandey for opposite party no.2.

2. Admittedly, there is a criminal case pending against the petitioner though another case has been decided. Therefore, the petitioner has to seek permission/No Objection certificate from the court of competent criminal jurisdiction where the trial is pending in view of the notifications dated 25.08.1983 and 10.10.2019 which are statutory notifications issued by the Central Government under Section 22 of the Passport Act, 1967 as has been held by several Division Bench judgements of this Court viz. Writ-C No.8621 of 2022, Shiv Shankar Vs. Union of India and others and earlier decision 20.11.2018 on the subject in Writ Petition No.31723 (M/B) of 2018, Salim Khan Vs. Union of India and others and judgment dated 21.06.2022 rendered in Writ-C No.3617 of 2022, Smt. Rashmi Kapoor Vs. Union of India and others.

3. Let the petitioner seek the aforesaid permission/No Objection Certificate from the competent court.

4. Writ petition stands disposed of.
