1. Heard Shri Raj Kumar Dhama, learned counsel for the appellant and Shri Rajeev Sharma, learned counsel for the respondent.
2. The present appeal has been filed under Section 19 of the Family Courts Act, 1984 arising from the judgment and order dated 23.09.2017 passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Baghpat in O.S. No.254 of 2011 (Seema, Shivani, Golu @ Arpit Vs. Sukhveer Singh), under Section 19/22 of the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956. By that order the learned court below has awarded monthly maintenance allowance at the rate of Rs.3,000/- per month in favour of the respondent during pendency of the appeal. The original appellant- Sukhveer Singh, who is the father-in-law of the respondent- Seema, died. Though, his son Udaivir Singh has been impleaded through substitution, today, learned counsel for the appellant states that the said Udaivir Singh has not inherited the property of the deceased- appellant (Sukhveer Singh). In view of the above, he further states that Udaivir Singh is not interested to press this appeal.
3. In view of the statement made, the present appeal is dismissed as not pressed.
