About IDIA

Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is a non-profit organization that aims to empower underprivileged and marginalized children by giving them access to quality legal education, in a bid to enhance the diversity in law schools across India. Conceptualized in 2010 as the brainchild of Late Prof. (Dr.) Shamnad Basheer, IDIA has since expanded to over 1000 volunteers across 20+ states.

The IDIA Madhya Pradesh Chapter is run by the students of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. With over 50 volunteers, IDIA MP has been proactive in training the students for various law entrance exams.

It has announced the ‘ IDIA-MP Chapter Legal Skillathon 2.0‘ and invites students to participate in one of the comprehensive 3-day virtual workshops organised by the IDIA-MP Chapter.

About the Skillathon

This virtual skillathon is designed to equip law students with critical skills required for academic and professional success, covering key areas such as Mooting, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Legal Writing & Research, and Session on Career in Corporate Sector, Litigation and Teaching.

Esteemed speakers from prestigious international and national law firms and institutions will guide participants, providing them with practical insights and career-oriented advice. The details for the speaker are given in the brochure attached herewith.

Objective of the Event

The IDIA MP Chapter is organising the Skillathon to provide law students and aspirants with an invaluable opportunity to enhance their legal skills while at the same time contributing to a worthy cause, as a cent per cent of the proceeds will support the IDIA initiative, which undertakes mentoring and empowering underprivileged students through legal education.
