School of Law, Governance and Citizenship Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is organising a Talk on Punishing Terrorism: Why Law and Procedure Matter by Jawahar Raja (practicing advocate) on [the event has been postponed].

Venue: G3, Karampura Campus, Delhi, India

In this talk, the speaker will focus on the foundational question in criminal law- what are the procedures in place to ensure that only the guilty are punished and not the innocent?

The talk will then shift attention to what happens to these procedures when guilt or innocence is being determined in the context of an act of terrorism. The speaker will explore these questions particularly in context of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
