The Nagaland University (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 1995

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 44 of the Nagaland University Act, 1989 (35 of 1989), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely :-
- Short title and commencement.- (1) This Order may be called the Nagaland University Removal of Difficulties) Order, 1995.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
- Establishment of interim headquarters of the Nagaland University at campus in Kohima.- The Nagaland University shall establish a campus of the University at Kohima and shall function from that campus, as if it were the headquarters of the University till the required officer and other infrastructural facilities for functioning are established at the headquarters of the University of Lumami.
- Status of employee of erstwhile campuses of the North Eastern Hill University in Nagaland.- The employees of the erstwhile campuses of the North Eastern Hill University in Nagaland whose services are availed of by the Nagaland University shall be treated as employees of the Nagaland University on deputation till the 31st day of December, 1995, or till their options as per the statutes of the Nagaland University to join the services of the said University become effective, whichever is later.
