The Central Government of India has assented for the appointment of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad , Judge of Jharkhand High Court, to be the Acting Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
The notification issued by the Law Ministry notifies that “In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, Judge of the Jharkhand High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court consequent upon transfer of Shri Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao, Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court as Chicf Justice of the Tripura High Court and till Shri Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court takes oath as Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.”
