IILM University, Gurugram is set to organise the 5th IILM National Moot Court Competition, 2026, from 19 to 21 February at its Gurugram campus. The annual competition, organised by the Moot Court Committee, School of Law, IILM University, is expected to see participation from law students across the country.

About the Competition

The moot court competition will be conducted in offline mode at IILM University, Sector 53, Knowledge Centre, Gurugram, Haryana. Participation is open exclusively to students enrolled in three-year or five-year LL.B. programmes during the current academic year at any recognised institution.

This year’s competition revolves around the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rights Law,” with Constitutional Law as the background, encouraging participants to engage with contemporary legal challenges emerging at the intersection of technology and law.

Registration and Fees

The last date for registration is 31 January 2026.
The registration fee is:

  • Rs.5,000 (without accommodation)

  • Rs.7,500 (with accommodation)

The competition offers a total prize pool of up to Rs.6,00,000, along with prestigious academic opportunities. The awards include:

  • Winners: Internship, Trophy, Medals, Rs.61,000 cash prize and Certificate

  • Runners-Up: Trophy, Medals, Rs.31,000 cash prize and Certificate

  • Best Speaker: Medal, Rs.10,000 cash prize and Certificate

  • Best Memorial: Rs.10,000 cash prize and Certificate

  • Best Researcher: Medal, Rs.10,000 cash prize and Certificate

  • 02 February 2026: Last date for seeking clarifications

  • 10 February 2026: Last date for online memorial submission

  • 12 February 2026: Mailing submission (offline), inauguration, draw of lots, memorial exchange and researcher’s test

  • 19 February 2026: Offline memorial submission

  • 20 February 2026: Preliminary rounds and quarter-finals

  • 21 February 2026: Semi-finals, finals, valedictory ceremony and prize distribution
