Directive starts from September 2 and will last till September 4.
The Gangsters Act would be invoked against those persons who sacrifice a cow, buffalo, ox or camel as Qurbani on Bakr-Eid, which starts from 2nd Sept. & will last till 4th Sept., strictly ordered the local authorities in Sambhal, on Friday.
Speaking to ANI on the same, SDM Sambhal Rashid Khan said that if in the time of Bakr-Id cow, buffalo, ox or camel is sacrificed, then under the Gangster Act, that person'll be convicted with immediate effect.
Under The Gangsters Act, a person, who's booked becomes part of a gang listed in the police records & is entitled to make appearance before the local police station with issuance of summons, so that police can keep track of their movement.
This Act permits the police to seek remand of an accused for 60 days max. as compared to a max. of 14 days under normal circumstances.

This festival honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, as an act of obedience to God's command. In commemoration of this, an animal is sacrificed & divided into 3 parts: 1/3rd of the share is given to the poor & needy; another third is given to relatives, friends & neighbors & the remaining third is retained by the family.
