Union Government has notified elevation of following five additional Judges of Madras High Court as Permanent Judges of Madras High Court-
(i) Smt. Justice Sundaram Srimathy,
(ii) D. Bharatha Chakravarthy,
(iii) R. Vijayakumar,
(iv) Mohammed Shaffiq and
(v) J. Sathya Narayana Prasad,
The Notification issued by Ministry of Law and Justice stated that,
“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i) Smt. Justice Sundaram Srimathy, S/Shri Justices (ii) D. Bharatha Chakravarthy, (iii) R. Vijayakumar, (iv) Mohammed Shaffiq and (v) J. Sathya Narayana Prasad, Additional Judges of Madras High Court, to be Judges of the Madras High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”
