On Monday, Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai, expressed deep anguish over the tragic loss of lives in the car explosion that shook Delhi on the evening of November 10, terming it a “heart-rending tragedy.”
Extending condolences on behalf of the Supreme Court of India and the entire judicial fraternity, the Chief Justice conveyed solidarity with the victims’ families and all those affected by the unfortunate incident.
In a message reflecting compassion and collective sorrow, the Chief Justice observed that the judiciary stands with the bereaved families in this moment of grief. He emphasised that while no words can alleviate such pain, the unity and empathy of the nation may offer some measure of comfort to those mourning the loss.
Reaffirming the judiciary’s unwavering commitment to justice and the rule of law, CJI Gavai stated that the Court remains dedicated to upholding the dignity and security of every citizen.
He concluded with a prayer for peace to the departed souls and strength to their families to bear this irreparable loss.
