2. Petitioners are resident of village Jaykot Post Kailash, Dharchula, District Pithoragarh.

3. According to them, during construction of Gasku-Kureel Motor Road, residential house and other property of the petitioners has been badly damaged, but no compensation has been paid to them. Petitioners have sought a direction to the authorities to pay compensation along with interest for the damage caused to their house and land.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have made representation to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dharchula, District Pithoragarh, who may be directed to take decision thereupon.

5. After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners be permitted to make fresh representation to the District Magistrate.

6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed 2026:UHC:2719 of by permitting petitioners to make representation to the District Magistrate, Pithoragarh for compensation. If they make representation within ten days from today, decision thereupon shall be taken as per law, within four months thereafter.
