Mr. V.K. Kapruwan, learned counsel for the petitioners.

2. This writ petition has been filed, under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, by the petitioners to quash the impugned order dated 31.01.2025, passed in Appeal No. 40 of 2024, Uttarakhand Van Vikas Nigam Ltd. and others Vs. Controlling Authority and another, passed by learned Appellate Authority, under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, and decision dated 02.07.2024 in PGA Case No.25 of 2023, Smt. Omdas Vs. Uttarakhand Van Vikas Nigam and another, passed by learned Controlling Authority, Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972/Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kotdwar, Pauri-Garhwal.

3. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the entire amount awarded under the impugned judgment and orders has been deposited by the petitioner-Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation before the Appellate Authority. Pleading to this effect has been made in para no.20, which reflects that a sum of ₹4,81,274/- has been deposited in compliance with the requirement under Section 7(7) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

4. Issue notice to the respondent, returnable within two weeks.

5. Steps to be taken within a week.

6. List this case on 10.11.2025.

7. In the meantime, respondent may file the counter

affidavit.
