4. Since common questions of fact and law are involved in both the petitions, therefore, these petitions are clubbed together and decided by this common judgment. However, for the sake of brevity and convenience, facts of WPSS No. 1946 of 2025 alone are being considered and discussed.

5. In WPSS No. 1946 of 2025, petitioner served as Painter in Uttarakhand Transport Corporation and retired from service in the year 2015. According to him, he was entitled to benefit of 6th Pay Commission, effective from 01.01.2006, which was given to all other similarly situate employee, however, petitioner has not been given full benefit of said Pay Revision.

6. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:-

(i) Issue a writ, order, direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2 & 3 to grant the petitioner the full benefits of the 6th Pay Commission effective from 01.01.2006, along with all 2025:UHC:10258 arrears and applicable interest.

7. Learned counsel appearing for Uttarakhand Transport Corporation submits that petitioner has already made a representation, which shall be looked into by the Competent Authority.

8. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that petitioner be permitted to make fresh representation to the Competent Authority.

9. Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of by permitting petitioners to make fresh representation(s) to Managing Director, Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, within two weeks from today. If petitioners make representation(s) within stipulated time, Managing Director shall consider their case for benefit of 6th Pay Commission and pass appropriate order, as per law, within four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, along with representation(s).
