Upon hearing the learned Counsel, the Court
made the following
JUDGMENT :

(per: Ms. Ritu Bahri, C.J.)

1. As per Annexure-1 (Marriage Slip), the

petitioners have solemnized marriage on 20.04.2024 in

the Office of Registrar Compulsory Registration of

Marriages, Laksar, Haridwar, Uttarakhand (India).

They have solemnized the marriage against the wishes

of the parents of petitioner No. 1-Smt. Nisha.

2. The petitioners have also placed on record

High School Marksheet & Aadhar Card of petitioner No.

1-Nisha to show that the date of birth of petitioner No.

1 is 11.04.2006 and the Aadhar Card of petitioner No.

2 to show that his date of birth is 25.02.2000.

3. The petitioners have moved already moved a

representation (Annexure No. 4 to the writ petition) to

the Senior Superintendent of Police, Haridwar on

27.04.2024.

4. Both the petitioners are appearing through

V.C. Nisha (petitioner No. 1) is residing in an

accommodation taken on rent by Hemendra (petitioner

No. 2) at Shivganga Colony, Salempur, Tehsil and

District Haridwar.

5. Notice of Motion.

6. Mr. Rakesh Kumar Joshi, learned Brief Holder

for the State, accepts notice on behalf of respondent

Nos. 1 & 2.

7. This writ petition is being disposed of with

liberty to the petitioners to approach SSP, Haridwar as

per Annexure No. 4, in case they need protection from

the family members of petitioner No. 1, i.e. respondent

Nos. 3 to 8.

8. Let a certified copy of this order be supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioners, on usual charges as per rules, today itself.
