JUDGMENT
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. According to the petitioner, in view of threat perception to his life, on account of filing of a Public Interest Litigation for eviction of unauthorized occupants from water-body land, petitioner applied for firearms license to District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, on 18.03.2020.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since his application dated 18.03.2020 was not traceable in the office of District Magistrate, therefore, he again applied for firearms license, on 12.03.2021.
4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the Competent Authority to issue gun license to the petitioner.
5. Since petitioner's application filed on 12.03.2021 is pending and no decision has been taken by the Competent Authority on the same, therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar to consider petitioner's application and pass an appropriate speaking order, in accordance with law, as early as possible, but not later than eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
