                      JUDGMENT

According to the petitioner, she is eligible for scholarship under a scheme known as 'Nanda Gauara Scheme'. Since no decision has been taken on petitioner's application, therefore, she has approached this Court seeking the following reliefs:

"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, commanding/directing the respondents to grant the benefit of financial assistance to the Petitioner as is admissible to her under the rd Government order dated 23 May 2016 "Goura Devi kanya dhan Yojana" and Government order dated 15th june 2017 "Nanda Goura Scheme" as Petitioner fulfill the eligibility prescribed in the said Government order, alongwith interest on delayed payment."

2. Learned Deputy Advocate General submits that the writ petition may be disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to District Social Welfare Officer, Almora and if such representation is made, the same shall be decided at the earliest.

3. Having regard to the facts & circumstances of the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to District Social Welfare Officer, Almora, within two weeks from today. If such representation is made within stipulated period, District Social Welfare Officer, Almora shall consider the same and take appropriate decision, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of representation alongwith certified copy of this order.
